To make people laugh is probably the most difficult of tasks and director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba has achieved it twice.
Somehow, you feel a slight flaw in the film’s flow, things happen to easily to believable. But when a film is fulfilling its sole purpose, then there should be no questions asked.
Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)
And the sole purpose of a comedy film is to make people laugh, and laughter is abundant in this film. Talking about fun, this sequel definitely wins over its predecessor.
Writing by Vipul Vig and the director himself has been a strong suit in both parts. The dialogues are spontaneous, doesn’t seem cooked up or fake, they are direct and relatable.
The movie foes a little unconvincing in between but then Choocha and PanditJi comes to the rescue immediately. Hence, you won’t find a moment of dullness in the movie.
The flashback song when the films begins describing events from the prequel, is wonderfully done. So is the climax, the film in not only comedy, its engaging and unpredictable too.
Varun Sharma as Choocha and Pankaj Tripathi as Panditji, hats off to these actors for making us laugh so effortlessly. Just when you thought, what more the actors could offer other than their role from the first part, these actors gave a blasting performance in this one. A simple scene with these actors would crack you up.
Pulkit Samrat as Hunny and Richa Chadda as Bholi Punjaban, are two characters and actors who play their best in this franchise. We love these actors because of this film, Pulkit acts like a breeze, and Richa’s lady don swag is just too fiery to handle.
Ali Fazal as Zafar and Manjot Singh as Lali have less screen space compared to others, but they both were impressive and totally make their presence felt. Fukrey without any of these actors wouldn’t be the same.
Priya Anand as Priya Sharma Vishakha Singh as Neetu Raina have very little to do but they had to be a part then.
Geet Sangeet (Music)
Background score is bang on. Completely in sync with the film’s energy. Every situation just brightens up more with the score.
Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict)
The Fukreys have returned and have made sure that your entertainment dose is fulfilled absolutely.
