Battle Of Saragarhi was a production idea of Salman Khan and Karan Johar, with Akshay Kumar in the lead. But Salman Khan backed out, and the team needed another co-producer. And someone who would back up in a manner that would retain the vision of the project, some other biggie of course.
Who comes to your mind for that?
Well, now that you have made your guesses, let’s hear the buzz.
Per buzz, Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s daughter, Isha Ambani, might come on board as the co-producer.
Says a source, “Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar and Isha Ambani met at Karan’s residence a few days ago and Isha liked the thought process behind the film.”
The source further adds, “Akshay, Karan and Reshma Shetty had a final meeting on August 29 at the superstar’s Juhu residence where they discussed the logistics of Battle Of Saragarhi. Things are looking good for the team. Isha’s addition to the project will be ideal.”
However, an official announcement is still awaited…
About the film: The famous Battle of Saragarhi was fought on September 12, 1897, by 21 Sikhs of the 4th Battalion of the Sikh Regiment, who gave up their lives defending an army post, fighting against 10,000 Afghans. Also, at the moment, Rajkumar Santoshi and Ajay Devgn are too making a film on the same subject, besides Karan-Akshay.
