[T]his film will make you experience and feel, there is no better award to this hero Neerja

Filmy Rating There isn’t a rating system when you are left speechless after the film but for those who only understand the rating language, it’s an out and out ★★★★★ movie

FilmyDigest ->You can’t meet a hero who put her duty in front of her life, but you can certainly see her, feel her and meet her too though on screen only. And this can be done only through movies.

Neerja should have been a film long back, but we are happy somebody made it even its 3 decades later and grateful to the makers.

Epic, Exceptional and Eminent, this film is.

Nirmata (Makers)

Directed by Ram Madhvani and produced by Atul Kasbekar under the banner of Fox Star Studios, the film is amazingly incredible, in fact more than that taking the fact that this is Madhvani’s (director of several award-winning commercials) debut film.

All films have inputs of hard work but what we get stunned at is what goes into making films that are this affecting, real and shaking. The answer is heart we guess.

Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)

Picking a theme for a film is easy, picking a subject based on real life is super easy, but what difficult is weaving a story around. What’s more difficult is the way you present it. What most difficult is to make real ‘feel’ real.

That’s is unachievable mostly, but Neerja did that. You know most of the story, you know the climax too but still you are seized and shell-shocked. That’s how wonderful film making looks like, making a movie as affecting as Neerja.

Written by Saiwyn Quadras and Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh (dialogues), the script couldn’t have been better. Surely, it being a movie there are imperfections, but the ‘bigger picture’ is important here than minute flaws.

Cinematography by Mitesh Mirchandani, Editing by Monisha R Baldawa and the storytelling has a whole lot of impact on the movie.

Abhineta (Actors)

Last but not the least is the performances, tremendous. The casting is perfect.

Shabana Azmi as Rama Bhanot, words fall short to describe the veteran actress performance. Her dialogues, her acting will end up make you emotional, so emotional that you will have to let the water in your eyes be victorious no matter how much you control.

Sonam Kapoor as Neerja becomes the real Neerja for us, she makes the role so alive and sentient with her performance. She is just outstanding, her expressions and that shuddering in her dialogue delivery is extremely good.

One of the 4 terrorists, Khalil is outstanding in his performance, he literally got into the skin of one manic aggressive extremist, he was so real that you start to hate him. His expressions and body language are amazing, well you just wont believe that he is not a terrorist in real life, he is that good.  Yogendra Tiku as Harish Bhanot is very effectual in his role and performance. Shekhar Ravjiani as Jaideep is convincing in his role.

Geet Sangeet (Music)

The songs are perfectly calming and encouraging, have a whole lot of feelings into them. Jeete Hain Chal really stands out. Background score perfect too.

Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict)

Speechless would be an understatement. It was like meeting and seeing the real Neerja…

Where government awards, films like Neerja offers feel and gives respect![/EXPAND]
