The poster boys paint a mood of fun, frolic and upliftment
The upliftment in the film is not only limited to the mood but gets extended to one of the taboos in our society too.
With good comic timing by the 3 poster boys, this fun-loving and entertainment-covered canvas painted with a social message is what you should be doing this weekend.
The film has its share of downs but the best part is that the light-heartedness doesn’t dissolve the social issue this film talks about.

Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Sunny Sounds Pvt. Ltd. and Affluence Movie Pvt. Ltd., this Shreyas Talpade’s debut directorial is a ‘comedy of errors’ that doesn’t have forced humor or distasteful jokes.
What it haves is a bunch of comedy with few error thorns.
Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)
The lives of three men turn upside down, when they find their pictures on a poster promoting ‘nasbandi’ vasectomy.
It’s the first time such a subject is chosen; story wise it is refreshing and script wise it is a mix of both new and old.
The pace is good, you don’t feel dull at any point in the film. It maintains interest throughout till it reaches the climax; the ending of the film is too commonplace, easy and hence predictable.
The humor is very natural, neither the characters nor the situations are forced upon to be funny. Though the humor gear is in fits and starts, but when it kicks in, it will make you laugh out loud.
There are some run-off-the-mill jokes but the actors handle it with their comic timing. Also there are some metaphors that you might find uneasy watching with your family, but trust us there is nothing sleazy.
The idea of using each other’s hit old movies and their dialogues is just amazing.
Sunny Deol is adorable, the actor sheds his dhai-kilo-ka-avatar. This time even his anger streak is used in a fun way and we just loved it. The actor was cutely macho in the film, now how’s that possible, well watch the film.
Bobby Deol, the actor is also in a never-seen-before avatar. High on energy and fun, we want him to do more movies. Shreyas Talpade is super-fun, his comic timing is always on point. His two friends were great too. All 3 poster boys were fun and hit bulls eye for comic timing.
Sonali Kulkarni is nice. Special mention for Ashwini Kalsekar who is impressive in her short role. Samiksha Bhatnagar as Surajmukhi makes her presence felt among the poster boys, which is certainly an achievement considering the boys had most of the fun dialogues.
Geet Sangeet (Music)
Music is nice, background score fun and totally in sync.
Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict)
A light-hearted film with a valid message. None of the two takes over each other and every element gets delivered. A fun and relaxing movie watching time.
