Nirmata (Makers)

This much fun can’t just be a result of imagination, it clearly requires unrestrained zealousness.

Or maybe this super-amazing-in-a-fun-way-anti-girls thing is out of experience (wink).

Tell us Luv Ranjan! How can you give us variety and fun in a topic common to every human on this planet: relationships?

Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)

Relationships. Another dose of chick-dude world. Yes, the topic is the same and you will be amazed at the variety of twists Luv Ranjan can bring to the scripts. We all know there is only little maneuvering around this concept and yet the director-writer makes it so uncliched.

May be if they haven’t told the bromance vs romance thing in trailer, we would have laughed our lungs out. Or may be this very concept made us more interested in watching the film. Either ways, it was a treat to watch.

And not once, we got distracted to check our phones. Not even during songs, everything was well shot, well treated and well executed. Even though the film had a few road bumps, but zing and zest covered them all. Plus, dialogues are the king. If you think of it, almost same story and roles, what can be that angle that drives every film towards fun, it’s the dialogues!

Written by the director-writer duo of PKP and PKP3, Luv Ranjan and Rahul Mody go a level higher by extending the story beyond the y-generation to a generation that is more fun-loving, the gen-old-is-gold.

Abhineta (Actors)

Talking about gen-old-is-gold, all senior actors just blew our minds. It was a delight to watch the befitting supporting cast on screen, great roles greater performances. Especially veteran actors Alok Nath and Virendra Saxena are beyond amazing. And after them, Ayesha Raza Mishra, one onscreen mom and actor we just love watching. Madhumalti Kapoor as Dadi was wonderful too.

Kartik Aaryan gets the gold. We know his comic timing, we know he is got those hot looks, and now he has given his A-game. Sunny Singh, his innocence stole our hearts and cracked us up too. Nushrat Bharucha has got all the flair, her expressions are stunning, so is her performance and dance.

Geet Sangeet (Music)

Out and out a Punjabi soundtrack, few remixed old hits with new tracks is equal to a great album. The formula worked! Plus, the background score is too interesting. Yes, the movie could have cut on few songs but that’s okay, ignorable flaw.

Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict)

Not only thriller but comedies like this film can too glue you to your seats. You may think your parents don’t get the slangs and abuse we use today, but this is one sinful film you can totally watch with your families.
