The digital world is growing day by day and it is giving us content that surprises us. While of course, a lot of people prefer binge-watching, international as well as Indian content on Netflix or Amazon Prime, Indian OTT platforms like Alt Balaji and Zee5 are also doing quite well.
Today, we will be reviewing Zee5’s original film Barot House. It stars Amit Sadh and Manjari Fadnnis in the lead roles. Barot House starts from a scene where the whole Barot family is celebrating an occasion. Soon, Amit Barot (Sadh) and Bhavana Barot’s (Fadnnis) daughter, Shreya is murdered. This starts the thrill and the suspense element. Who is the murderer?
The story of Barot House is quite new and interesting. The screenplay of the film is good, but it could have been better. Sanjeev K Jha has done a decent job with his writing. After a point, you might predict who the murderer is, but even after knowing that Bugs Bhargava Krishna’s narration keeps you hooked and on the edge of the seat. But just one warning, there are a few scenes that will be difficult to digest for the faint-hearted people.
Amit Sadh has given his career’s best performance in Barot House. He is simply excellent. Manjari Fadnnis is fantastic in the emotional sequences. But the star of Barot House is the child artist Aaryan Menghji. He has nailed it in the film. Another child artist who clearly deserves a mention is Kiearra Soni. Her character Shreya Barot has minimal screen time, but she impresses us a lot.
Overall, Barot House has the right amount of thrills and suspense that would make you glued to the screens for those 1 hour 30 mins.
