An entertaining action-thriller that deserves a watch
Sunny Deol is known for his angry man avatar on the big screen. But from the past few years we haven’t seen him doing some action with his dhai kilo ka haath. However, our wait gets over with Blank.
Watch it If you like -
If you are a Sunny Deol fan then Blank is a must watch for you.
But Beware of -
The not so impressive promotional track that comes in the end credits and ruins the take-home feel.

The makers of Blank promoted the film like an out-and-out Karan Kapadia starrer. It is his debut vehicle and after watching the trailer, we all felt that the movie will only be about Karan and Sunny Deol would not have much to do in the film. The trailer also didn’t create much curiosity to watch the film. But thankfully, we are left surprised after watching the movie.
Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)
So, what’s Blank all about? Let us tell you. The movie is about a guy named Hanif (Karan Kapadia) who meets with an accident. In the hospital it is revealed that there’s a bomb attached to his body and he is suicide bomber, but because of the accident he has lost his memory. Then the movie moves forward with some amazing edge-of-the-seat scenes, action sequences and our very own actor with his dhai kilo ka haath.
We had no expectations from Blank, but with the first scene itself writer-director Behzad Khambata proved that we are in for something good. The story of the film is not a great one; we have seen many films revolving around terrorism, sleeper cells, etc. But what works here are the screenplay and the direction of the film. There are scenes that will keep on the edge-of-the-seat and you will be keen to know what will happen next. The action sequences are wonderfully done and you enjoy them. We won’t say that Blank is one of the best action-thrillers of Bollywood, but it doesn’t disappoint and most importantly keeps us hooked to the screens.
Sunny Deol is back and how. We really wonder when was the last time when we saw a Sunny Deol film and felt so good. He is in full-form and gives a fantastic performance. Blank is clearly a must watch for Sunny Deol fans. Karan Kapadia makes a decent debut and impresses. Karanvir Sharma and Ishita Dutta support well.
Geet Sangeet (Music)
The songs don’t do any wonders for the film. But what majorly works here is the background score. In a thriller, if you have a perfect background score, you have won the half race and that’s what happens here. Even after you leave the theatre the background score stays with you.
Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict)
Blank isn’t one of the best thrillers of Bollywood, but it’s not even a bad one. The engaging screenplay, action scenes, and Sunny Deol keep you hooked throughout the film.
