De De Pyaar De is an entertaining, refreshing film with some amazing performances
Bollywood has been giving us a lot of rom-coms from the past many years. It is one of the favourite genres that filmmakers like to explore. But not all succeed in giving us an entertaining film. However, thankfully De De Pyaar De comes as a refreshing film under the genre.
Watch it If you like -
If you are a fan of Ajay Devgn and Tabu, then De De Pyaar De is must watch for you. Even Rakul Preet is impressive.
But Beware of -
There a few scenes in the first half that drag a bit, apart from that there’s nothing to beware of.

De De Pyaar De is produced by Luv Ranjan and T-Series who had also produced Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The team successfully comes up with an entertaining film once again. The movie marks the directorial debut of Akiv Ali and he brings a refreshing film on the big screen which doesn’t turn out to be the regular run of the mill Bollywood flick.
Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)
De De Pyaar De is about Ashish, a 50-year-old who is separated from his wife Manju (Tabu). He falls in love with a girl named Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh), a 26-year-old. Now Ashish decides that Manju and kids need to meet Ayesha and he gets her home. From here things start getting worst for Ashish but good for us as we are left laughing out loud.
The first half sets the romance between Ashish and Ayesha and there are a few funny scenes there too. But the best part about the film is the second half. The funny small fights between Tabu and Rakul are the highlight of the film. The movie also has emotions at the right place, but thankfully it doesn’t get over dramatic. By the way, it ends on a note that there will be a sequel to it and we can’t wait for it.
Ajay Devgn is playing his real age in the film and he doesn’t shy from showing off his grey hair. He has acted well and his chemistry with both Rakul and Tabu is quite good. Rakul Preet Singh is the surprise package here. She has looked hot and has performed well. But she just needs to work a bit on her emotional scenes. While Ajay and Rakul are very good in their roles, the show stealer is none other than Tabu. We last saw her in Andhadhun and now, she is here looking gorgeous and performing every scene fantastically.
The makers have very well chosen the supporting actors too. From Alok Nath to Jimmy Sheirgill to Sunny Singh, all have been given a very well written character.
Geet Sangeet (Music)
The music of the film is good, but the best song comes during the end credits, Hauli Hauli…
Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict)
De De Pyaar De is a refreshing rom-com that entertains you very well.
