This fatherly-love driven film needed a script and worthy-of-that-love daughter!
Aishwarya Rai and Rajkummar Rao scenes make this film watchable!
Otherwise, kya kamaal ka bewakoof banaya Fanney Khan ne!
The real Fanney Khan would be fatherly emotions that are the spine of the film, even those couldn’t come across touchingly because of a conveniently silly script.
A disappointing watch.
Watch it If you like -
Only Aishwarya Rai and Rajkummar Rao scenes, Also Anil Kapoor’s presence is always so superb onscreen
But Beware of -
Honestly, it’s just a very weak and average film

We have not seen the original Belgian film “Everybody’s Famous!”, so we can’t go there, but we can certainly say that this cant be how debutante Atul Manjrekar wanted his first film to be.
Or maybe he knew and thought audiences will be easy to convince, considering he is the co-writer along with Hussain Dalal and Abbas Dalal.
Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)
Hussain Dalal is the same writer who has given some spontaneous dialogues in this week’s other release Karwaan couldn’t deliver the same here. It was all unrelatable emotions and melodrama, and even the dialogues sounded overdone. The only dialogues and scenes that kept us a bit happy were of Rajkummar Rao’s.
The script is not only predictable and unconvincing but is also weak and hold its fort very easily. The script is as if the audiences are fool and would believe anything shown.
Coming to the saving grace of the film. Aish and Rajkummar’s scenes made us happy. The entry of Aish and Anil was ruined with dose of filmypanti. The fatherly love is washed away by poor writing of the father-daughter bond. Nobody would really understand the forced tension between father-daughter duo. And to heighten this unnecessary melodrama, the daughter in the film was may be asked to act and exaggerate too.
We know we should start seniority wise, but we can’t help but praise Rajkummar Rao first, he is too good even in a bad film. Of course, the actors’ potential was totally wasted.
Anil Kapoor, his presence is so amazing. He is just Jhakaas as an actor and perfectly delivers a caring father role, but everything he does gets buried under the poor script.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jazbaa, Sarabjit, Fanney Khan, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, recently we have just loved her role in the last film. But she looks gorgeous and shared a good chemistry with Rajkummar Rao. The actress certainly need better roles and films.
Pihu Sand is okayish in her hurriedly written role. In fact, her friend Rhea made more connect. Divya Dutta is good in her scenes, the talented actress could have been utilized more.
Geet Sangeet (Music)
The music was not so average as the film. Decently good songs we will say.
Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict)
Even some vibrant actors and their acts couldn’t save this film from being so empty.
