When will politicians stop targetting Bollywood? We won’t be wrong if we say that Bollywood has always been a soft target, especially for politicians. We all know that the current situation in the country is not that great. There are protests going on in different parts of the country against the attack in JNU that took place a couple of days ago.
A lot of Bollywood celebs like Taapsee Pannu, Zoya Akhtar, Dia Mirza, Swara Bhasker, and others have been a part of the protest. Today, Deepika Padukone was in Delhi to promote her film Chhapaak, so she decided to visit JNU and be there with the students for the protest.
Now, this has not gone down well with BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga and he tweeted that people should boycott Chhapaak.

Thanks to his tweet #BoycottChhapaak is trending on Twitter and we all know that these are paid trends done by the ruling party.
So, let us tell all the people tweeting #BoycottChhapaak that the film is not made for brainless people like you. It is made for people who understand cinema and can understand how important it is to accept acid attack survivors in our society. Politicians, who are busy attacking kids, what will they understand about a film and an actress’ great performance in it.
Go ahead and tweet #BoycottChhapaak, we are sure fans of Deepika will prove that a few tweets can’t affect her film. Remember 2018 release Padmaavat, there were so many controversies revolving around it, politicians had also stated that they would behead Deepika, but she stood by the film and we know that the movie was a blockbuster at the box office.
We are sure #BlockbusterChhapaak is on the way.
