Priyadarshan is back in Bollywood after a gap of eight years. He has made us laugh out loud with his previous films, especially Hungama, and now, he is back with Hungama 2.

Hungama 2 is about Aakash (Meezaan Jafri) who is staying at a hill station with his family. Enters Vaani (Pranitha Subhash), who is Aakash’s ex-girlfriend, and claims that the child with her is Aakash’s. But, he denies it and tries to prove Vaani wrong. Parallel to this, there’s the story of Anjali (Shilpa Shetty) and Tiwari (Paresh Rawal). Anjali and Aakash are family friends and even work in the same office. Tiwari feels that Anjali and Aakash are having an affair, and Anjali is pregnant with Aakash’s child. With so much confusion happening, a hungama takes place in Aakash’s life…

Firstly, we would like to say that there’s no comparison between Hungama and Hungama 2. The former was much better, but, we cannot say that Hungama 2 is a bad film. There are scenes that make us laugh out loud, especially, the scenes featuring Ashutosh Rana, Rajpal Yadav, and Tiku Talsania. Also, just like all the Priyadarshan movies, here the climax gets the whole cast together and it’s hilarious. Watch out for Yadav in the climax.

Performance-wise, it’s actually Ashutosh Rana, Rajpal Yadav, and Tiku Talsania who steal the show. These veteran actors have proved that they can lift up a movie with their performance even if the script is weak. Meezaan Jafri is good in his role, and he will remind you of Ranbir Kapoor in many scenes. Pranitha Subhash as Vaani is just perfect. Shilpa Shetty has a small role in the film, and she is decent. Paresh Rawal once again showcases his amazing comic timing.

The songs in the film are fine. Chura Ke Dil Mera leaves a mark because of Shilpa and Meezaan’s dance moves in it.

On the whole, Hungama 2 is a one-time watch decent comedy film with some good funny scenes.

Ratings: 3/5
