Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha was slated to release on Christmas this year. But, reportedly, as the shooting of the film has been stalled due to the lockdown, the makers have decided to postpone the release of the movie to next year.
Now, according to a report in Pinkvilla, as Laal Singh Chaddha is postponed to 2021, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Brahmastra will release on Christmas 2020. A source told the portal, “Brahmastra is almost complete. Only a few days of patchwork remain which will be wrapped up immediately after the lockdown opens and the Government allows shoots to resume. The team has been simultaneously working on the post-production given that it’s a VFX heavy project. They had locked December 4, 2020 as their release date, but that was also because they didn’t want to clash with Aamir at the theatres. Now, with Lal Singh Chadha pushed to next year, it gives them a clear window during the holiday period and they are looking at it now. The film has been mounted on a lavish scale so a holiday period also means better box office prospects. They won’t announce it yet, they have first decided to wait it out to see how the situation is before making it official. But it’s definitely an idea they are toying with right now.”
Brahmastra has been in the pipeline from the past few years, and the release date of the film has been pushed multiple times. Let’s see when the film will actually release.
