Pati Patni Aur Woh was directed by B. R. Chopra and now, in 2019, the remake id directed by Mudassar Aziz. He is known for making light-hearted movies especially the Happy Bhag Jayegi franchise. He has very well remade the 1978 classic and thankfully it is not ruined. The movie is funny and Aziz has narrated very well.
Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)
Pati Patni Aur Woh is about Chintu Tyagi (Kartik Aaryan). He has a wife Vedika (Bhumi Pednekar) with whim his marriage life is going well. Enters Tapasya (Ananya Panday) and Chintu’s life takes a turn. He doesn’t love her but likes to spend time with her. So, how will Tyagi manage this dual life? Will Patni come to know about this Woh? These things takes the movie forward.
Writing wise this film is decent. It doesn’t have many scenes that would make you laugh out loud, but the dialogues are so hilarious that it will make you go rolling on the floor laughing. The first half is a bit pale as the director takes his own time in bulding up the characters, however just a few minutes before the interval, the movie picks up the momentum.
Kartik Aaryan is good in his part, but in some scene his performance looks a bit overacting. Bhumi Pednekar once again proves her mettle as an actress and delivers an impressive performance. Ananya Panday leaves a mark with a mature performance. Aparshakti Khurana is simply outstanding and has done a great job in the movie.
Geet Sangeet (Music)
Music is strictly average. Dheeme Dheeme comes in the second half of the film, and Ankhiyon Se Goli Maare during the end credits.
Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict)
Pati Patni Aur Woh is an entertaining film where you don’t have to think much, but just enjoy the antics on the big screen for those 128 mins.
