Pihu will leave you awestruck and make your heart miss a beat
A cute little girl, her cooing and murmuring and stuttering in excitement to communicate, hair falling on her face, as if all this wasn’t enough to leave us awestruck!
Almost every second scene in the movie makes you feel like your heart stopped for a moment.
No song, almost negligible dialogues, you will be amazed that just a toddler and her innocence kept you glued to the screen, now that’s what amazement looks like.
Watch it If you like -
The concept of just a toddler onscreen and how its executed is something you shouldn’t miss out
But Beware of -
There’s only so much that could have been possible in a film with no other characters and just a 2-year-old, so pointing out a flaw is difficult and inappropriate

National Award-winning director Vinod Kapri said that the idea behind making the film was with the question of “what does a toddler do when she is left alone at home?”
And that’s where the director won us, because we were wanting to know the same, also at the same time we just wanted to close eyes with all the frightening things that may happen to the kid.
Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)
Okay we are not going to point out negatives in a film that is almost impossible to shoot. Of course, there were few, but they were ignorable too.
For those who have seen the trailer would expect that the film will start how the little girl is left alone. Others would expect the same too. But that doesn’t happen. We meet the toddler right away and what better than the innocence and cuteness of a kid to make a connect. Good move there.
The story unfolds slowly, and that’s one line of engagement for us. The other was obviously the wondering that was going on about what will happen to the little girl.
Based on a real-life incident that the director read in 2014 in a national daily about a four-year-old girl who was left alone at home, the decision to have minimal dialogues and to move the film around the probabilities of what can happen to a child left alone was genius.
You hear just voices of other characters, that’s when hope becomes bright that someone will save the kid, this play with our hope, that’s another genius-giri the director did.
The pace is both advantageous and disadvantageous for the film, it creates that thrill, it also becomes repetitive. But the movie is not all thrill-thrill, it also has adorable moments which will make your connect stronger.
Geet Sangeet (Music)
Vishal Khurana’s background score is like another character in the film. Creates tension where required and makes our heart melt when needed.
When the girl grows up and see her in the film, she will be shocked. So are we!
Pihu Myra Vishwakarma is the soul of the film, and the hard work of the director in guiding her is visible in every single scene.
We just can’t believe what we saw, how can a 2-year-old act? Was she really acting? It was all so real except when she looked right into the camera (but that just made us warmer towards the film).
Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict)
The movie certainly has its fixed audience. Only the ones happy with thrillers of any kind and the ones eager to watch different movies will be attracted.
But people should watch it for its distinctive idea and efforts that went into bringing alive that idea.
