Sujeeth is clearly one of the youngest directors we have in the industry. He has made a film earlier down South, but with Saaho he also makes his Hindi debut. Sujeeth’s narration is slick and he knows that he is not just making a film for audeinces down South but for moviegoers all around the world. It is clearly visible that producers have spent a lot of money and there has been a lot of hardwork that went into the film.
Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)
So, what is Saaho all about? There is a place called Wazi where a lot of gangsters reside and one of them is Roy (Jackie Shroff). Roy comes to Mumbai from Wazi and he is killed. Soon, there are robberies in Mumbai taking place and an undercover cop Ashok (Prabhas) is hired to solve the case. While solving the case, they come to know about a Block Box which is required to open the locker of Roy. Then the movie moves forward with a lot of twist and turns.
The twist and turns are quite good, but we have to tell you that you might predict them even before they take place. While Sujeeth’s narration keeps us hooked, the screenplay gets a bit streched. The action and chase sequences are fantastic but they are long ones. If you like watching action you will enjoy it but if you don’t then you might get bored.
Prabhas is very good in the film and impresses us with his swag. But he needs to work a lot on his Hindi. Shraddha Kapoor is a weak point in the film. She has carried the whole film with just one expression and also when it comes to action she has nothing to do. Supporting cast here is quite strong. Chunky Panday is fantastic, Arun Vijay will steal your hearts, Mandira Bedi is good and Neil Nitin Mukesh is fine.
Geet Sangeet (Music)
The songs in the film are good, but the movie could have been better without the romantic tracks. They just strech the movie and do nothing. However, the background score is quite good.
Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict) Saaho is an out-an-out Prabhas show. If you are a Prabhas fan then this is a must watch for you.
