Nirmata (Makers)
Om Raut has directed a Marathi film and now he makes his Bollywood debut with Tanhaji. The film is actually all about VFX and if this part would have gone wrong that this movie would have been a mess. But thankfully that doesn’t happen. Raut has narrated the film very well and even the VFX is wow.
Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)
Tanaji Malusare is one of the leaders of Shivaji Maharaj’s army. He is like his right hand. Now, Mughals acquire Kondhana, a fort that was under Marathas and Shivaji Maharaj’s mother used to stay there. Now, she takes a pledge that till Kondhana comes back to Marathas she will be barefoot. Four years later, Tanaji decides to fight and get back Kondhana. Will he win that war or not? Watch the movie to find out…
The story of the film is written by Om Raut and Prakash Kapadia. The first half of the film is average and the film picks up post interval. The writing in the second half is crisp and to the point and the film doesn’t go into much detailing but gives out the required information. The dialogues in the film are good and a couple of them have also been changed keeping sentiments of people in mind.
Abhineta (Actors)
Ajay Devgn as Tanaji Malusare is good in his part. He has try to get the accent right and he impresses. But it is Saif Ali Khan’s negative avatar that steals the show. He is awesome in the film and we are happy that he will finally get a hit. Kajol and Neha Sharma, both the actresses have extended cameos and they are good in their parts. Sharad Kelkar as Shivaji Maharaj is damn good and leaves us wanting for more.
Geet Sangeet (Music)
While ther are a few songs in the film, the track Rarararararararara… stands out. What a fantastic composition!
Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict)
Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is a grand film with good storyline and some fantastic performances.
