A regular khandaan ke khoon ka badla kahaani given a pirates look!
At times you are able to judge a book by its cover, we say this because the trailer of the film hinted towards the emptiness in the hype around the film.
And so this much awaited film turned out to be a total disappointment.
It wasn’t Suraiya who took our Jaan, it was the film which just wasn’t ready to give up, no matter how boring it was becoming.
Watch it If you like -
Backdrop sets and background music are both stunning and splendid, but that’s not something to keep you glued to your seats for long
But Beware of -
The film itself is a thug, will endure you with its beauty and then will bore you with its run off the mill story

What can a good captain of a malfunctioning ship do? Nothing.
In a film that has tried to deliver something Hollywood style, in a film where everything looks grand and stunning, nothing seems impressive enough to take home or to remember or talk about.
And the reason is the script.
Alekh (Story) – Patkatha (Screenplay)
Grand cast, Good direction, cool VFX, traditional action, but nothing is of use if a film can’t keep you involved.
What happens is, a super hit venture turns into a mis fit outing.
Straight from the times where khaandaan ke khoon ka badla stuff worked to 2018 where all this doesn’t work, the stale genre of revenge drama didn’t do much harm as much as the ordinary writing did.
Right from the word go, the film was slow, predictable and uninteresting. We kept hoping for things to turn good and we waited till the end. But the film was a thug, it attracted us with its grandeur but was all that wasn’t gold, but just gold plating. Not even that honestly, just using graceful words keeping in mind the cost and effort behind the film.
These two of course make the film visually stunning but even a gigantic beautiful titanic couldn’t stand an iceberg. The iceberg here is the script. Apart from being very regular and below average, the writing was also unconvincing.
So much so that, it affected the performances too, and to a great extent.
Bachchan Sir, is there a film that hasn’t worked if BigB is a part of it. None or rarely we guess. But even BigB’s awe inspiring presence couldn’t be of any use in the film.
Aamir Khan, good you gave us an average film, we were running short of words praising you (wink).
Katrina Kaif is a hot accessory in the film. This kind of casting makes us feel bad for the artist.
Fatima Sana Sheikh’s act snatched our Danial fever, there were no layers in her role. For that matter, no role had variable shades.
Lloyd’s act was quite impressive.
Geet Sangeet (Music)
Songs are average. Choreography is unusually catchy and doesn’t match the songs. Thanks to the background score that added some feel to the film. Given by John Stewart Eduri, the score added so much volume to the action scenes.
Nirnay (FilmyCurry Verdict)
All that glitters is not gold. Offering glittering attraction, the movie contents are hollow.
Thugs of Hindostan is here to thug you!
