Vicky Kaushal is on a roll. With Uri: The Surgical Strike, the actor has given the biggest hit of 2019 till now. He has some interesting projects in his kitty like Takht and Udham Singh biopic. Now here’s one more film that Vicky will be starring in.
The actor is collaborating with the team of Uri once again to bring the story of Ashwatthama on the big screen. Yes, you read it right, director Aditya Dhar has roped in Vicky for his next which will be produced by Ronnie Screwvala. A source told Mumbai Mirror, “After Uri, the makers wanted to return with something big and interesting. Aditya has been working on this script since a long time, even before Uri released, and when he sounded out Ronnie and Vicky, they immediately jumped on board. The film will be mounted on a big scale and will be shot later this year.”
Ashwatthama was the son of guru Dronacharya and Kripi. He fought with the Kauravas against the Pandavas in Mahabharat’s Kurukshetra war. The source further informed, “Aditya is already neck-deep in research and will go on a recce soon. The film will be shot all over India and the makers are targetting a mid-2020 release.”
We are quite excited to see Vicky as Ashwatthama on the silver screen.
